Celebrating this October 2013
Organisation of the Month
Opportunity Now is the campaign on gender diversity from Business in the Community. They aim to increase women's success at work, because it's not only good for business but good for society too.
Opportunity Now empowers employers to accelerate change for women in the workplace. They work with their membership of employers, from private, public and education sectors to offer tailored, practical and pragmatic advice on workplace issues. Founded in 1991, the original aim of Opportunity Now was to maximise the potential of female employees and improve their recruitment and retention prior to the start of the new millennium. Nearly 20 years on the need for the work of Opportunity Now is just as strong.

Charity of the Month
Rosa is a charitable fund set up to support initiatives that benefit women and girls in the UK. Because, while many women and girls here do enjoy freedom of choice and the opportunity for success in their lives, that’s simply not true for all. Our vision is of equality and justice for all women and girls in the UK.
Women aren’t short of ideas to help create positive change in their lives, but they are often short of the money needed to turn those ideas into reality. That’s why Rosa was launched in 2008 – to help raise more money for women’s projects and organisations.
.. on becoming the most senior female judge in British legal history.
She is the only woman among the 12 supreme court justices and took over deputy presidency from Lord Hope, who retired in June.
Unfortunatly women still only account for less then 25% of UK Judges which makes her achievement even more noteworthy.
and best of luck to "Feminist Times"
.. and Charlotte Raven with their launch this month. Feminist Times is a PR, advertising and celebrity free magazine aimed at interesting Women.
